Today, I have been researching a little, when it comes to creepy places. That also means, places that fascinate me. I love to read articles like these, so I hope you will enjoy my selection of fascinating, scary, creepy places ..

This is an old amusement park located in Japan. It was closed down 1974 and was re-opened, but closed again in 1999. This part was first closed because of the big amounts of deaths that happened here .. And I don't think I have to tell you why it fascinates me, I mean, look at the pictures!
Well, this is not that creepy for most of you, I guess .. or is it? But for me, it's pretty scare. I am really afraid of big old boats and I really hate to see the bottom part of ships, it creeps me more than anything. So - a shipwreck, where we can see the bottom? An absolute nightmare for me ..
One this Island, you can find more than 1000 dolls haning from the trees, "always watching you". Why? Well, the legend says this: A long time ago, there was a girl who drowned here. A man found her body, with a doll. And as the time went on, it became his obsession - collecting dolls and hanging them on trees in bizarre positions. Creepy, right?
The "suicide" forest. The Aokigahara Forest is the forest with most dead bodies in it. Why? Well, a couple of years ago, there was a bood written about two people in love - who killed themselves in this forest. The book became a big hit (just like "Die Leiden des jungen Werthers" back in the day) and more and more young people came to this place to end their lives.
And now my most favorite of all, Prypiat, the Ghost-town in Ukraine. This town was built for the people who worked at Czernobyl (Is it called this in English too?) and their families - as you can see, here are some pictures from a hospital, but also from an amusement park. This city had to be evacuated when there was a small mal-function at Czernobyl and this is how it looks now.
Why is this one my favorite? Because I am so fascinated by old buldings, not touched by humans for years and years. Already as a small child, I was always climbing into abandoned houses with my friends and exploring everything possible. This is when my imagination always switched on and I would imagine all kinds of things happening in those places. Yap, I used to be a little explorer, haha!
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this article, even though it's a bit different than my usual posts.
