Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to watch the Grammy’s; with the lame internet connection we have, livestream is something I can only dream of. But I went through a lot of pictures and articles today and I thought I could share some of the red carpet outfits that in my opinion were the best (and the not as good) dressed stars.

If anyone would defy the new dress code at the Grammy’s CBS announced last week (for example including a memo to avoid „see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples“), it would be Rihanna. And that’s exactly what she did. Her custom made bright red gown by Azzedine Alaïa was one of the most gorgeous dresses - without a doubt. There were also other stars who tried it with red, but Rihanna’s skin tone, simple make up and causal hairstyle in combination with this beautiful red dress was an absolute winner.

Another dress that didn’t cover a lot was a sexy black gown by Georges Chakras that Kelly Rowland wore. It’s definitely not a dress anyone could wear without looking ridiculous or even trashy. But Kelly looked stunning and anything but trashy. She combined it with a very sophisticated hairstyle and light make up, and the whole thing came out great. Elegant and sexy at the same time.

Taylor in a loose white gown is nothing we haven’t seen before. But she knows what she’s doing. I usually don’t like white color on people with such a light skin tone and blond hair, but Taylor somehow manages to look great in it. Silver elements and interesting design in the back add a little fun to otherwise simple dress and her girly braided hairstyle fits perfectly.

Carrie was classy as always. I really like the pattern of the dress, although I’m not sure about the transition into the lower part of the dress. I also don’t like the choice of her necklace, but her make-up and hair looks great the overall image is very tasteful.

I’m still not sure what I think about Adele’s choice of dress. It’s nice to see her in other colors than black for a change, that’s for sure. The A-cut is a good choice for her curves; however, what I’m not certain about is the pattern. In combination with the shoes it seems to me that it’s a little bit too much. But other than that, she looks cheerful and her face looks very pretty as always.

Although I’m not a big fan of her music, I think Katy is one of the most beautiful female celebrities. This gown, however, wasn’t the best choice. I actually DO like the color, it really emphasizes the color of her eyes, and if someone can pull this kind of color off, it’s Katy. But the low cut cleavage in combination with the embellished neckline just doesn’t go well together. I love the hairstyle but I don’t think it’s the right one for this kind of dress – I would rather see her hair pulled up. The thing I really like is her make-up, her face looks lovely.

Have you watched the Grammy’s? Who do you think was the best and the worst dressed? Let me know.
