Some love it, some hate it. I don't really care about it. I don't need my man (not that there would be one right now) to get me anything. Just like Christmas .. I don't think it's about the presents, but about the time spent together.
The first time I got to celebrate it was when I was 15 I think with my boyfriend back then. I am not a very romantic person, not like that, but his gift for me was really sweet! Instead of getting me flowers - he knew I don't like them - he got me a teddy bear, who was carrying flowers, and sprayed them with his cologne. That's more my style! Romatic, but not typically. We ate at one of my favorite restaurant too. And spent a great day together. Though I think it was kind of .. weird for us both to be acting like adults when we were just kids.
Another time, one year later, I told my boyfriend I didn't want flowers, chocolates, or anything else .. so we decided to go to the movie theatre and watch the movie "Law Abiding Citizen". Not romantic at all, haha! But I still remember the day and have to smile very time I think about it.
Last year, eS was in Berlin to visit me, so I got her some nice flowers and her favorite candy. Yes, even though I don't really care if someone gets me anything for Valentine's Day, I really like buying gifts for people. Not just on this day, but also on every possible occasion. There's nothing better than making a person happy - and when you know how to do it, when you know what they like and what they enjoy, it's so easy to please!
What am I going to be doing this year? Probably just spend the day with my dearest person in the whole world, eS, watch movies and eat tons of candy, haha. That's kind of our thing, not just on V-Day, but also on the weekends and sometimes during the week too. Maybe we will go have a romantic lunch/dinner .. at McDonald's, haha!
What are your plans for Valentine's Day? Any favorite V-Day memories? Whatever you are planning on doing, I hope you enjoy it!
